I am breaking away once again from my usual format (that typically includes guests) to share with you a very short book that I read many years ago and that impacted my life significantly. In our age of cancel-culture, you may feel like millions of Americans who are looking around in dismay as it seems wrong has become right, up is now down, and words that were perfectly fine a short time ago have now become points of division. How did we get here? Contrary to some media reports, this has not been caused by one single politician or elected official. The cause is much deeper.
I have always believed that America would never be defeated by military force. We would rise up, defend our homeland, and fight for our freedoms, just as so many brave patriots have done in the past. However, I have watched for decades as complacency has replaced patriotism, and an entitlement mindset has replaced an individual work ethic that has helped millions to achieve prosperity and has helped our nation thrive. If America will fall, it will fall from within. We must not let that happen.
