Are you frustrated with our federal government and the decisions that have led to our nation being in massive debt, on the brink of World War III, and in societal upheaval and a culture war? Are you angered when you see good people punished for speaking their minds or peacefully protesting, while others are not even prosecuted for crimes such as rioting, looting, drug dealing, and child sex trafficking? Are you fed up with sending your tax dollars to defend borders in countries across the world, but the tax dollars spent on our borders are not used to actually secure the borders, but are used for facilitating open border policies and to pay expenses for illegal immigrants, many of whom are fighting age males from terrorist countries?

If you are like most Americans, you may be thinking this is all due to incompetence. However, there is no incompetence involved. It is very intentional and is often caused by the divide between Main Street Americans and lobbyists and elected officials who undermine our freedoms as they pursue profits and power. In this episode, Linda discusses the divide between Main Street vs. K Street and provides action items for you to become an informed advocate for your freedom.

Are you frustrated with our federal government and the decisions that have led to our nation being in massive debt, on the brink of World War II, and in societal upheaval and a culture war? Are you angered when you see good people punished for speaking their minds or peacefully protesting, while others are not even prosecuted for crimes such as rioting, looting, drug dealing and child sex trafficking? Are you fed up with sending your tax dollars to defend borders in other countries across the world? But the tax dollars spent on our borders are not used to actually secure the borders, but are used for facilitating open border policies and to pay expenses for illegal immigrants, many of whom are fighting age males from terrorist countries. Are you upset to learn that many fine hotels in American cities are now used only to house illegals at your expense? Does it frustrate you to know that cell phones, transportation and more are often paid for with your hard earned and highly taxed dollars? And why are we protecting borders in other countries while we ignore our own? America has always welcomed immigrants, but we expected immigrants to contribute to society and boost our economy, not drain our resources while undermining our way of life. Why would legislators vote for such policies? And when it comes to fights on foreign battlefields, why would they vote to allow war to escalate and for our resources and our people to be used in conflicts that are rarely won. Thousands of lives have been lost in endless wars like the ones in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. Why?

We say it is to defend democracy. But is it?

If you are like most Americans or foreigners watching the demise of America from afar, you may be thinking this is all due to incompetence. However, I can assure you the people making such decisions are highly competent, and they are executing a deliberate strategy to destabilize our economy, our culture and our nation as a whole. There is no incompetence involved. It is very intentional and strategic. Why is this episode titled main street versus K Street? When we hear this phrase, it refers to the never ending divide between average Americans. You know, the moms and dads who are working two jobs, coaching their kids baseball teams, volunteering at school, taking care of elderly parents, and doing all they can to make ends meet. And the elites and lobbyists in Washington, DC. Who work to control people and events, to align with their agenda, and usually to align with padding their pockets from kickbacks, bribes and special favors. They often think they can hoodwink uninformed Americans into being pawns in their game of government chess. But many average Americans are waking up. And are saying, no more. Not on our watch. The term K Street refers to the lobbying crowd, those who try to influence votes in favor of an issue, company or organization. There is big, big money in the lobbying world.

Now, before you think all lobbyists who have offices on K Street in our nation's capital are bad, I can assure you there are many honest, hardworking lobbyists who endeavor to serve their clients and the American people ethically and well. But there are many who do not. And there are those who use their positions to gain profits, prestige and power. That is where the divide is. The average American would be furious if they truly understood how their money is being spent or wasted on many programs that actually undermine the health, safety and freedom of the American people. Main Street Americans do not have the luxury of endless funding. They have bills to pay and needs to be met. Our government is no different. Yet elected officials often ignore the need to live within their means and to steward our tax dollars wisely and well. So we are now $33 trillion in debt and climbing. Remember, peace is not profitable.

Defense contractors and the lobbyists who represent them do not make money during peacetime. The military industrial complex is real. So is the healthcare or pharmaceutical industrial complex. Good health is not profitable. That is why the American healthcare system often treats the symptom instead of the cause. Hospitals, cancer wards and clinics would be out of business if people learned to take care of their own health naturally and proactively. So the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry lobbies hard for government funding for their pet projects, regardless if they are actually beneficial to average Americans. You know, the ones on Main Street.

Versus the ones on K Street. Defense and healthcare are only two areas, but there are countless others where we can see the divide between Main Street Americans and K Street lobbyists. Energy, banking, manufacturing, education, and even the ways our elections are run are all areas where the divide between the needs of Main Street Americans and the K Street crowd is wide and growing. How can we fix this? How can we shrink the beam off of government? We fix this by becoming informed, involved and impactful like I advocate for in my Prosperity 101® programs.

We, the people, the ones on Main Street are still in charge of our government and we need to hold our elected officials accountable to do what is constitutionally correct and beneficial for the American. People, not what is best to line. Their pockets or the pockets of lobbyists who care more about money than freedom. There is hope on the horizon. We are seeing a new burst of freedom loving individuals stepping into leadership and bravely choosing to buck establishment systems to redefine how government operates as they choose to boldly forego the pack. Money kickbacks, insider trading tips, fancy dinners, private jets, media atta boys and other perks that come with being wind and dined by lobbyists. They are encouraging others to do the same. If more legislators do that and spend more time listening to their constituents, making wise fiscal decisions, and putting the needs of America first, then we may be able to restore this nation to greatness as a government of the people, by the people and for the people. But it is not just up to the legislators alone. The people, and that means you and me.

The people need to stand up and let our voices be heard. It is the only way America will survive. Have you ever called or written to your elected officials? If not, why not? They represent you. Make sure your voice is represented on Capitol Hill and in your state and local governments. There are more people in Main Street America than there are lobbyists in DC. Or in state legislatures. Stand up for your rights and for the issues that matter to you. For more information, visit my website, Prosperity 101® Dot or Prosperity 10 One.
